SuperMak new venture - StylistaNur

Tattaraaaaa...Impian yang suatu ketika dahulu cuma impian, kini, insya allah berkat doa, usaha dan sokongan semua, ianya bakal menjadi kenyataan..well, almostlah.  Basically, it will tell you why I didn't update my blog regularly as I always does.  This is why -

1) my MBA thesis submission dateline is 30 June 2012

2) I am currently working plus I am a wife, mother, daughter, kak long (errr not the samseng KakLong as in cerita "Bini biniku Gangster ye)...etc..etc

3) I AM VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS NEW VENTURE - my childhood dream to be an image consultant, to be involve in fashion, sort of lah kan, will become a reality with the birth of STYLISTANUR - online store for hijabi fashionistas.  Soooo excited!! 

I remember when I was in early form 4, untuk sesi penentuan samada akan dimasukkan ke kelas aliran Sains ataupun kelas aliran lain, untuk pelajar yang atas pagar seperti saya, harus menjalani temuduga.  All my best friends were in Science stream, so I was expected to chose the same stream.  Unfortunately, during the interview, Puan Maimunah and Puan Azizah, my pengetua and cikgu Sains asked what is my ambition.  Terus jawab, oh saya nak jadi Image Consultant. Diorang terus berpandangan antara satu sama lain, Image Consultant? apa tu, Image Optic ye, nak jadi Optician.  Saya jawab, macam Norma Norell tu, yang selalu keluar majalah fashion tu,bagi nasihat cara berpakaian yang sesuai...oooooo Fashion ye, ok masuk kelas menjahit.  Terus dia sign borang tak tanya lain. Hmmmm that was the beginning of a 2 years nightmare...

Anyway, that was it.  Dari kecik lagi memang I love fashion! I always eyeing my mom's Chanel, Dior, her handbags, perfumes. I love to see her outfit in 70's, with the skirt and boots, her long and straight hair, wala! Farrah Fawcett pon x boleh lawan...

My latest venture ni, insya allah, StylistaNur online store will starts our operations in 1st week of July.  In the meantime, alhamdulillah, even we are still new, store pon tak bukak lagi, we received a good response and opportunities lah. FYI. This Day, 16 years ago...

I was only 21 and he, 25. such at a young age, we decided to embark our life journey, together. Today, 16 years after, we're still going strong with additional 2 teammates. It would be a lie if I said that our journey is a smooth sailing and is full of bed of roses. It is not and is not supposed to be that way either. But above all, it has made us stronger and appreciate the life we have together.

Happy Anniversary, love! and I am looking forward for more and more years together!

Let's celebrate!

Selamat pagi sayang sayang, Sayang sayang Sayang...Sayang sayang Sayang? muahahahaaaaaaaaa (ketawa evil)

Pagi ni cuaca mendung, hujan renyai renyai, jalanraya alhamdulillah traffic jemnya kurang, tadi lalu depan Sheraton Imperial, 1 kereta je ada, terus terpikir, public holidaykah ini hari? jalan terus clear sampailah depan Sime Darby...apakah?  Tapi rasanya hari ni jalan clear sebab mak bapak ramai cuti hari ni kot, penat layan anak celebrate Hari Guru semalam.  Ada yang nak kena masak untuk pot luck nak bawak ke sekolah, nak bungkus hadiah, heiii mak mak sekarang ni sayang superb hokeh, tu yang kena gelar superMak tu..kawan kawan I ramai yang bake cookies lah, cake la,  muffinlah bagi kat cikgu sebekas sorang...perghhh I salute you lah.  Iyelah nak meraikan insan-insan yang membantu kita untuk menjadikan anak-anak kita insan yang berguna untuk bangsa, agama dan negarakan. Ingat senang nak jadi cikgu, kalau I, belum tentu lagi tahap kesabaran nak melayan kerenah 40 orang budak.  I bawak apa ye untuk pot luck Abang Adik...swiss roll baker's cottage je, mintak maap cikguuuuu tahun depan saya bawak yang best best ye...

Satu lagi perayaan yang kita sambut minggu ni adalah HARI IBU! Alhamdulillah, merasa jugak saya ni jadi seorang ibu, bukan senang ooo...I may not be the best mother in the world, but i certainly trying my hardest to be the best mom for my kids.  Mother's Day kali ni, jatuh hari Ahad, so pagi pagi my sister dah sms lah, tag kat fblah to make sure kitorang lepak celebrate Mother's Day with our mom dekat The Bakery, Ampang Jaya.

My sister bawak anak kecik dia Aariz, I bawak Abang Adik, sampai sampai je my sister bgtau, long...mama kata tadi ada hero malaya dia kat sini, hero malaya?? sapa?? Farid Kamil...hah? menjak bila pulaklah mama minat Farid Kamil nih...

Malam, I pulak yang dicelebratekan, we had dinner dekat Tarbush.  Paling terharu sekali bila Abang Adik hadiahkan duitsempena Hari Ibu..huargghh nanges.  It may be only 2 ringgit to others but it meant a lot to me. Thank you baby!

 Nak share some fakta menarik tentang Ibu :

1. Apabila seorang ibu mula sakit hendak bersalin, maka tercatatlah pahala jihad baginya
2. Apabila seorang ibu melahirkan anak, terhapuslah dosa-dosa lepas bagi wanita itu
3. Ibu bersalin akan dapat pahala 70 tahun solat dan puasa
4. Setiap kesakitan pada satu uratnya, Allah hadiahkannya pahala menunaikan haji
5. Kajian dari Universiti Illinois mengatakan wanita lebih penyayang dan setia berbanding lelaki.  Lama sebelum itu lagi, Rasulullah SAW bersabda, "Ibu lebih penyayang dari bapa dan doa orang penyayang tidak akan sia-sia"
6. Lelaki hanya mampu menahan kesakitan sehingga 47Del tetapi wanita mampu menahan kesakitan sehingga 57Del ketika sakit bersalin, bersamaan dengan 20 tulang dipatahkan serentak

Personally, I don't mindlah the kesakitan nak melahirkan anak tu, the late nights,sleepless nights nak jaga anak sakit and bermacam macam the, the & the lagi, as long anak-anak sihat, happy, selamat, dan jadi anak yang berguna, Well, mungkin tak terlambat untuk mengucapkan Selamat Hari Ibu kepada semua ibu-ibu!

My Dream Chart

I am currently undergoing a management coaching sessions with Coach Radin of ActionCoach.  The sessions? best giles! In one of the session, Coach ada suruh kita buat Dream Chart, letak gambar, visual semua benda yang you nak in your life. Rationalnya, bila kita tahu apa yang kita nak dalam hidup, kita ada direction untuk mencapai apa yang kita hendak.  Contohnya kalau dah tau nak ke Melaka, dah sah sahla kita pikir jalan mana nak ikut, so takdelah sesat patut pegi arah selatan, tapi kita ikut arah utara pulakkan..lebih kurang macam tulah

Keeping it like the Kardashian

I am currently watching Keeping Up with The Kardashian.  I love this family, yeah they maybe loud, very vocal to my Asian taste and can be seem like attention seeker, whatever, whatever but their bonding with each other, really amazed me, plus they're really stylo lah.  They stick together through thick and thin, their loyalty to each other, really, wow! Seriously how many of us, can say that, 'I have that kind of relationship with my family', I will be with my family no matter what, even how many times they hurt my feelings, I will stick by them, protecting them, love them unconditionally.

I think we should learn 1 or 2 from this American family.

"Jom kita bawak budak budak jenjalan Singapore this weekend" hah, Singapore? this weekend?? wohoo!! gerek sih..suka!!! "Kita bawak Kathylah"   errr Kathy?? (for the benefit of others, Kathy is my car - another important family member). No flight? hmmm tak kisahlah janji jalan, I pun dah nak dekat 16 tahun tak turun Johor.

So! SG here we come!!

Hari 1

Plannya, first day kita lepak The Zon, Johor. waaah lainnya Johor sekarang ni, so gempak, highway all the way, I like!  Sampai je dah time dinner, so since my mother cakap, ko cari depan hotel New York ada restaurant jual ayam penyet, pergghhh sedap!  We all pun, pergilah cari ayam penyet yang my mom cakap pergghhh tu...

Cerita dia, larat dengan tak larat je..

Nak bagi tips sikit untuk yang nak berjimba jimba di USS

1. Silalah beli express card dia, so kuranglah beratur tapi dengarnya kalau pergi week days orang kurang, yang pergi weekend tu, silalah pertimbangkan

2. Tak perlulah nak berhigh heel, mmg confirm nak naik tangga turun tangga, banyak jalan kaki, so flat shoes ke slipper ke, mmg recommended la

3. Cuaca agak panas, tepi laut kan, so pakailah baju yang selesa dan serap peluh

4. Kalau barang banyak, boleh sewa locker, yang besar utk satu hari dalam S$20, oklah tu dari nak angkut beg sana sini

5. Tak perlu risau makanan halal, kat brochure dah tulis restaurant mana yang halal, banyak pun restaurant halal kat USS ni, recommend yang dkt Egypt apa entah lupa namanya, nasi dia perghh sedap..kalau amik kombo nasi beriani ayam dia, siap dapat roti canai. Jgn pengsan tgk harga ye, dan jangan buat mental arithmetic convert Sing Dollar dgn Ringgit Malaysia ye, kang tak selera lak nak mamam

6. Silalah bawa wet tissue, utk kegunaan di tandas dan pelbagai kegunaan lain

Hari 3

Trip ke SG kali ni cuma 1 malam..keluar dari USS, naik MRT ke Orchard Road kita bermalam di Royal Plaza on Scotts, mmg best, dekat dengan semua..tempat makan, shopping, transport, all the happening spotslah
