Raya potluck in the office y'all!!

Makanan semua superb, dari pagi sampailah ke petang makanan ditaja sepenuhnya.

Rendang hijau, rendang ayam, nasi impit, nasi lemak, ayam panggang, kuih muih segala aneka, kek, brownie, bubur durian macam macam ada lah.

Baju raya is a mandatory dress code, kata raya kan....

Rakan saya, si pemenang anugerah MPI

Semalam, 3 of us attended Malam Anugerah Wartawan MPI-Petronas 2013. Bila received invitation dari MPI, memang tak pikir panjang dah, mesti kena attend, to show some support to our ex staff.  Ada 2 nominations rasanya dari company, and it would be the last. Sedih..... Anyway, life goes on, right!

Ada ruangan ucapan takziah atas kematian Datuk Jamaluddin Mansor, Editor In Chief/Group CEO kami, sebak bila baca ucapan yang ada dalam buku program malam MPI.  Tahun lepas, Datuk tak attend, but years before that, memang dia tak miss. Still remember after habis je event, we all sambung balik lepak dengan Datuk dan rakan-rakan MMP lain minom teh tarik, borak borak.  Good old days!

This year, rakan saya Faizal Riduan menang anugerah, kategori Kewartawanan Perkhidmatan Awam Cemerlang. So proud of him, saya tahu macam mana dia bertungkus lumus nak menghasilkan artikel terbaik, dan nah, ini hasilnya.  Faizal bawa balik hadiah RM15,000, tiket penerbangan MAS ke Hongkong dan Kamera Coolpix S100n Nikon. Lumayan!! 

Kalau Datuk masih ada, sudah semestinya beliau akan berbangga dengan pencapaian anak buahnya, and Faizal, you certainly deserved this award.

Malam Anugerah Kewartawanan MPI-Petronas

Hi all!

Jumaat lepas segerombolan warga MMP termasuklah I ke Malam Anugerah Kewartawanan anjuran Malaysia Press Institute with Petronas as its main sponsor.  Untuk memeriahkan suasana, maklum lepas stress meetings dan juga terpaksa meredah jam, malam tu guna my alter ego konon kononnya Paris Hilton, yahh i know, i blueksss too while making this statement ngeh ngeh ngeh.  So, Paris Hilton aka Che Lynn bersama entouragenya seperti Kim Kardashian, Nicolle Ritchie dan gang gang seangkatannya telah menyerang Hotel Royale Chulan.  Since cameraman tak sempat nak bagi gambar yang telah diedit, I terpaksa guna gambar from blackberry.  Bagus jugak kalau gambar tu agak blurry, kira kedut di muka, lemak di perut dan double chin tak berapa jelas kelihatan ngeh,ngeh,ngeh....

ok enough of 'perasan'ness...back to 'me'self know, memang enjoy sakan, eventhough tahun ini tak de rezeki nak bawak balik hadiah, unlike the previous years, 2010 we bag 7 prizes, last year 4 prizes this year elek, tapi alhamdulillah still dalam shortlisted list.  Insyaallah mungkin rezeki rakan rakan penulis ada tahun hadapan.

Kalau dengar ada back up singer in the background tu, kira abaikan saja ye..heheheee (ketawa sambil tangan tutup mulut, malu kononya).  Kalau fail upload, maafkan kami penunggu gua..maffkan kami penunggu gua.....

Anyway, tahniah kepada steering committee terutama Datuk Chamil for a good job done! we really enjoy the night.  Tahniah juga kepada para pemenang! Tahun depan, ada rezeki insyaallah kita jumpa lagi....

I love weddings especially if it involved Ar Rahman family, it's always a fun occassion.  For the past 6 months, we had 3 weddings in our family.

On serious note - majlis perkahwinan memang seronok, tapi perkahwinan itu sendiri harus lebih menyeronokkan.  Kedua dua pihak, baik suami atau isteri perlu tahu tanggungjawab masing masing dan mengetahui bahawa tiada manusia yang sempurna.  When both sides wants to make the marriage work, they know their roles and responsibilities, dan acknowledge that no one is perfect, husband and wife should complement each other, insya allah all the hard works semua will be paid. It is no bed of roses, no smooth sailing all the way, I've been through it all in my 16 years (and more to come) marriage.

Anyway, to all the newly wed of Ar Rahman - Kak Long doakan semoga perkahwinan anda berkekalan dan bahagia ke akhir hayat.

FASHION VALET 1ST BIRTHDAY BASH

Assalamualaikum and Cheerioooo peeps!

OMG its Friday already, time flies really really fast lah...Anyway, nak share with you all on an event I was invited to.  Its the Fashion Valet 1st Birthday Bash, perghhh gempak.  It was held in Publika, Solaris on Wed 16 November 2011 (mintak maaf, 1st time mak sampai sana nyah! jakun sekejap, maklum route standard rumah-office-rumah kannnn)

Decoration was nicely done, good ambiance, superb crowd, generally well organised eventlah.  Few to comment, nothing majorlah like seating arrangement, usherette or committee mingling with guest : well for a 'season' event organiser (booo hooo its birthday parties anak, suami, adik, all those kenduris, company events bla bla bla) I know how hectic, chaotic and crazy it can become lah...anyway 2 thumbs up to Fashion Valet & team!!!.  Oh lupa, I was there actually to bagi my support to my lovely sista, Hashella, she and her partner in crime, Marni are the proud owner of Marshella Adornment.

Woot woot!! nampak tak long pearl tu? ha Marshella design lah tu...oooo and the Toga Dress, alamakk canteeekkk!!!

So to show my sisterly love and support, I tinggalkan my anak-anak at home, tinggalkan kejap my MBA thesis (adoi dateline nak dekat nih), kerja-kerja yang super urgent in office and attend Fashion Valet event.

Is it worth it? well its worth every second, minutes and penny! The event and crowd GEMPAKKK!!!

Nah..... tengok sendiri kehebatannya heheheheheheeee. Me, the Owner of Marshella with the georgeous Gabriella Robinson.
